The Transplant Leadership Institute, in partnership with the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), is seeking a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as Chief of the Division of Immunology & Organ Transplantation. This leader will advance the division's clinical, research, and educational missions. The Abdominal Transplantation Program operates under a shared governance model between Memorial Hermann Hospital and McGovern Medical School, offering a comprehensive range of advanced inpatient and outpatient services, including both surgical and nonsurgical care, for patients requiring abdominal organ transplants. Qualifications: Ideal candidates for this role will possess the following qualifications: A medical degree with fellowship training in abdominal transplant surgery from an American Society of Transplant Surgeons-accredited program. Eligibility for a Texas Medical License. UNOS certification or eligibility as a Primary Surgeon. Academic leadership experience within a school of medicine. Qualifications for appointment as a senior-level faculty member. A proven track record of managing a clinical abdominal transplant practice. Demonstrated success in leading research initiatives, training programs, and interdisciplinary teams.
