Credentialing Specialist

Philadelphia, PA

Description:

• Performs complex, diversified administrative, clerical, operational and strategic functions.
• Responsible for preparing and submitting credentialing applications and supporting documentation for the purpose of medical staff and advanced practice providers credentialing in accordance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Ensure integrity of provider database
• Works cooperatively and collaboratively with practitioners, their employer and office staff to facilitate the credentialing process.
• Supports the FPPE/OPPE functions, including assurance of timely evaluation and collection of data.
• Manages assigned duties/ functions independently, maintain a high quality for detail and timeliness

Skills:

CAQH, Credentialing, Provider Credentialing, Hospital Credentialing, Insurance Credentialing

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Must be a self-starter and able to learn by on the job training

-Highly organized & great with time management

-Team player & detailed oriented

-2 to 3+ years of physician credentialing in healthcare, ideally within a hospital setting, but healthcare insurance is acceptable

-Thorough knowledge of physician credentialing software, Joint Commission Standards, PA Department of Health regulations and PA State Board Medicine Licensure requirements
