Investment Banking Associate - Energy - Houston, Texas

Our client is a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm.

They are seeking highly motivated, successful candidates with investment banking experience ideally in the energy sector for Associate and VP positions in Houston.

Role Overview

• Perform analysis of valuation and financing of potential transactions
• Formulate plans and models to consummate transactions
• Execute buy-side and sell-side M&A and capital markets transactions and provide advice to clients
• Develop financial analysis/modeling, including valuation and statistical analysis and consequences of options
• Review valuation models to include comparable company analysis, merger plans, discounted cash flow, precedent transaction analysis, and leveraged buyout analysis
• Create client presentations, proposals, offering memorandums, engagement letters, and term sheets
• Conduct product and industry research

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Series 63 and Series 79 licenses
• 3+ years of experience providing complex analytical support including creating and reviewing valuation and other financial analyses in support of due diligence activities on behalf of a global financial services institution
• 3+ years of experience executing both sell-side and buy-side M&A (including cross-border and domestic, public, and private)
• 3+ years of experience creating client presentations and performing financial valuation analysis including building complex financial models; conducting industry and product research; and analyzing corporate and financial information
• 3+ years of experience participating in the execution of M&A transactions
